The boys in the Yeshiva of Rav Moshe Chodosh ztz"l wanted to be מתחזק in שמירת הלשון and decided to learn Chofetz Chaim. He told them that a better way of doing that would be not to see faults in other people in the first place. Then they will have no Lashon Hara to speak in the frst place.
