Chazal say [Yevamos 120] that in order to testify that a man died in order to permit his wife one must see the nose. I recently spotted a specially shaped, hooked honker nose and said [to myself, of course!!!] "hey, that is the nose of so and so".
But "so and so" is dead.
So I looked at the rest of his face and saw that it was his son.
