1. It reminds Jews that they are Jews.
2. We learn who are friends are - and aren't.
3. Mass defections from secular colleges to YU [they aren't going to Lakewood or the Mir so even if one is not a chossid of the YU philosophy - it is certainly better than the poison they are being fed on secular campuses].
4. The American people now see the spirit of their youth i.e. violence, supporting terrorists etc. etc. Hopefully something will be done about it.
5. The stark contrast between the peaceful Jewish demonstrations and the wildly violent pro-hamas demonstrations.
6. Diaspora Jews are thinking more seriously of moving back home to Eretz Yisrael.
7. It forces us to sharpen our ideology and beliefs in order to understand the difference between us and them.
8. Jewish unity. We are all united in not wanting to be exterminated as the wild protesters on campus desire.
