"Ram Daas, social psychologist, says when we’re born we are automatically enrolled in a ‘somebody training program,’ where everybody around you is training you to become somebody, not just any somebody, but a particular kind of somebody, who had a chance of surviving in the world. By the time you were five or six years old, you figured out what the game was, you figured out who you needed to be and who you were not supposed to be in order to make it through this life. You now have a kind of an operating system that’s on automatic. You’re on autopilot and sometimes don’t realize it."
So much of our lives we just go through the motions. People don't change, they just repeat the same patterns again and again, never really being true to themselves, to their true calling and to Hakadosh Baruch Hu.
Oh, to have died and realized that you never lived at all.
