Giants 31 Cowboys 14

When I was in New York I went to shul one morning and an old friend of mine came in EXHAUSTED. He had a BIG smile on his face. "The Giants game", he explained. "I was watching the game and I was so excited I couldn't sleep for a long time afterwards." I was understanding. When someone isn't connected to limmud hatorah he needs SOMETHING. So let it be the Giants [I am a recovering Dolphins fan but tolerant of fans of other teams]. It could be much worse [the Patriots. Always hated the Patriots:-)].

How surprised I was yesterday morning after shachris when I overheard a conversation between two people who have about sixty combined years of Jewish education under their belts and as they were putting away their tefillin they had an animated conversation about the Giants game [they WHUPPED the Cowboys].

Check out a passage from the Igros Moshe [Yo"d dalet simman yud aleph] about going to games. At the end he intuited the presence of cheerleaders!
