אֵינֶ֨נּוּ גָד֜וֹל בַּבַּ֣יִת הַזֶּה֮ מִמֶּ֒נִּי֒ וְלֹֽא־חָשַׂ֤ךְ מִמֶּ֙נִּי֙ מְא֔וּמָה כִּ֥י אִם־אוֹתָ֖ךְ בַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר אַתְּ־אִשְׁתּ֑וֹ וְאֵ֨יךְ אֶֽעֱשֶׂ֜ה הָרָעָ֤ה הַגְּדֹלָה֙ הַזֹּ֔את וְחָטָ֖אתִי לֵֽאלֹהִֽים׃
"There is no one in this house greater than I, and he did not keep anything from me, except for you, as you are his wife. How can I do this great evil and I would be sinning against Hashem!"
Chasidus teaches that before one does an Avierah he should say to himself: There is nobody in this world [the world is a biiiiig house] greater than I!! Who has exactly MY talents, MY uniqueness, MY biography, MY nisyonos, MY special purpose in the world etc. etc.?? NOBODY!! Hashem has given me sooooooooooooooo much!!! Eyes, ears, a nose, a heart, a pancreas, a brain, blood, a digestive system etc. etc. BILLIONS of brachos [every cell is a bracha!!]. All he told me not to do is THIS Aveirah that I want to do now. How can I do this great evil and I would be sinning against Hashem!!
Why would someone be so abusive to oneself!! MASOCHISM!!! When one sins - he is hurting HIMSELF [and all of he cosmos - but that is besides the point]. Such an אוצר/treasure I am!!! And when I sin I ruin that!! It is a sin against me and a sin against Hashem.
