1] We critically need more "diversity" [a woke code word that is an ideological landmine].
2] We must believe ... in science. [In the olden days the message was to believe in something and Someone else.]
The very thorny challenge of receiving a secular education is the amount of messages received that are contrary to what Jews believe - especially today as the world gets lefter and woker. Just the fact that people whose belief system and lifestyle are diametrically opposed to ours are educating our children and looked up to as role models is fraught with problems. It doesn't fire one up for Avodas Hashem to say the least. The Chazon Ish was once asked by someone if he can go to the army. He won't stop being religious completely but it will "cool him off" a little bit in his Avodas Hashem. The Chazon Ish responded that being cooled off in Avodas Hashem is יהרג ואל יעבור. Remember Amalek and all the drashos about אשר קרך בדרך.
