An honorary "Doctorate of Rebbeshkeit" has been awarded by the Tisch School to Rebbetzin Yemima Mizrachi who "personifies an sparkling example of Rebbishkeit for women all over the world in a Tzanua and dignified manner. She shows that being a Rebbe is not exclusively a male domain and that women, non-binary, Trans and all 72 different genders [which is not biological but a social construct] can also be Rebbes". Previous awardees include Rebbetzin Jungries ztz"l and Nechama Leibowitz z"l.
The President of the school in his inspiring address spoke of how the Bnos Tzlaphchad also wanted and received a portion in Eretz Yisrael and said that in our times as well Jewish men often put their real estate in their wife's name.
