Speaking of giving a tip [which is not a transgression of לא תחנם] I am reminded of the story of Shlomo Carlebach who once was in the Catskills and gave a tip to the waitress that was a number of times the amount of the price of the drink he had ordered. When asked why he gave so much, he replied: "I am giving for all those Yiddelach who don't tip at all".
