I am not against women working. There are many good reasons for women to work - the family needs the money, emotional reasons, she has talents she wants to actualize, otherwise she will be bored etc. etc.
That being said ....
Recently, I started talking to a young, sweet, angelic looking boy who seemed down. He told me that he was sad b/c his mother left town on a business trip. He was sooooooooooo sad. Heartbreaking.
So women can work. They can be CEO's, COO's, CFO's and everything else. But there is no replacement for a mother. Ten fathers can't replace one mother. A child needs a mother more than he needs a father. Every minute that a mother spends with her children is gold. Unreplaceable. It can't be made up later b/c later is a new time. The time the child could have had his mother and didn't is gone forever.
So if a women needs to go to work then maybe she should. But we must never underestimate the value of a woman who invests her life in being there for her children. Our society tells us that women must work in order to have true value. But maybe the greatest value is never to cause a child to cry b/c his mother went on a business trip.
If a woman DOES work she shouldn't feel guilty. A] Guilt doesn't help. B] If one decided that the right decision is to work then why feel guilty for making what you think is the right decision?
Stay-at-home-mothers are not second class.
Just ask their children.....
