Rashida Vs. Modi

WASHINGTON, June 2 (Reuters) - U.S. congressional leaders on Friday invited Modi to address a joint meeting of the House of Representatives and Senate on June 22, one of the highest honors Washington affords to foreign dignitaries.

"During your address, you will have the opportunity to share your vision for India's future and speak to the global challenges our countries both face," House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, and House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries said in a letter to Modi.

So weird for a Jewish comedian from Long Island to be doing this. But I guess that he will speak with an Indian accent, wear the get up and tell good Jewish and Indian jokes. I hope he doesn't mention his Catholic "husband". Pas nicht [Spanish for "inappropriate"] for a Jewish comedian doing an impersonation of an Indian Prime Minister to talk about such things.

Rashida Tlaib tweeted out: It’s shameful that Modi has been given a platform at our nation’s capital—his long history of human rights abuses, anti-democratic actions, targeting Muslims & religious minorities, and censoring journalists is unacceptable. I will be boycotting Modi’s joint address to Congress. I don't like Jews, I don't like Indians and I certainly DESPISE Indian Jews.

Modi responded by saying that Congress doesn't have an Ezras Nashim so it is better that she doesn't come anyway. She can go live in Saudi Arabia and see how they treat her there and see if she could be elected to public office.
