A certain large group of Jews is acting as if there is no Corona. Life as usual. They had a memorial service for one of their leaders who died from Corona and there was no distancing etc. I was in their shul. No signs about limiting the number of people, wearing masks, alcohol on the table to sanitize hands or anything else. Just signs up telling people that b/c of the situation they should stop talking in shul. The shul was packed like normal [I came in after it emptied out] despite the law limiting the number of people to twenty.
The Avodah is Ahavas Yisrael when Jews do infuriating things such as risking not only their own lives but those innocents who live within proximity to them.
Part of being a mentsch - not a Tzadik but a basic human being - is having elementary consideration for the feelings of others. Here it seems completely lacking. So we have חילול השם, possible גרם רציחה and plain ol' stupidity. וכל מי שאין לו דעה אסור לרחם עליו ו[במקום אחר] נבילה טובה הימנה.
VERY hard to swallow. Compounded by people who proclaim that the whole thing is a hoax.
