Rav Yaakov Koppel Reinitz Shlita wrote an article in the Yeshurun Journal under the title "הערות בתורת מרן הגרי"ז זצ"ל על התורה". Rav Moshe Mordechai Shulzinger was very unhappy with this article. In his biography, a letter is printed that he wrote to Rav Reinitz [his name is omitted and I was really curious to whom R' MMS was referring and I "magically" found it].
Here is what R' Reinitz wrote [starting with a quote from the Brisker Rov. Rav Moshe ztz"l didn't like when people called him גרי"ז. He said it sounds like the word "grease" which in modern Hebrew is גריז]:
Rav MMS responds a bit [or more than a bit] sharply [standing up for his Rebbi!!!].
