Peace On The Right?

At a recent Republican convention, someone spoke passionately about the schism in the movement and that it doesn't have to be that way. Two of his closest allies are Mark Levin [very pro Israel] and [his arch enemy rabid Israel hater - my words, not his] Tucker Carlson. He asserted that both are good men even though one can disagree with them on policy matters.

This is from a letter I sent to him:

.....

Thank you for your remarks at the Republican convention and for everything you do for the movement.

While I appreciate your leadership, I find it difficult to view Tucker Carlson as a "good man." My concerns stem from several of his recent actions: he has provided a platform to neo-Nazis and Holocaust deniers, and his rhetoric appears increasingly focused on harsh criticisms of Israel.

Furthermore, I was struck by the contrast in his interview style; he was incredibly aggressive toward Mike Huckabee, yet provided "softball" questions to Vladimir Putin and the Iranian leadership. It is also troubling that some of his most vocal vitriol seems reserved for Christian Zionists.

Thank you again for your time and for considering my perspective.

Keep doing your important work!
