Through the major events unfolding in the world this week, the Holy
One, Blessed is He, is revealing how He weakens the enemies of
Israel and all those who are considered part of the axis of evil.
Venezuela, located in South America, possesses some of the
largest oil reserves in the world—estimated at an almost legendary
303 billion barrels, even more than Saudi Arabia. Venezuela has
been cooperating closely with Iran, which supplies it with the
materials necessary to dilute its crude oil so it can be exported. In
return, Iran receives oil that is shipped to China, and with the funds
it earns, it finances terror activities
throughout the Middle East, with the
openly declared objective of destroying
the State of Israel.
The bold action ordered by President
Trump included strikes on infrastructure
in Venezuela and the dramatic extraction
of the tyrannical ruler Nicolás Maduro and
his wife in the middle of the night, while
they slept, by elite U. S. special forces
known as “Delta Force. ” They were
brought to stand trial in New York, thus
bringing an end to the rule of a brutal
dictator characterized by extrajudicial
killings, torture, arbitrary arrests of
political opponents, and violent suppression of protests. Maduro
was charged with turning Venezuela into a state serving drug
cartels, while cooperating with Iran and Russia to undermine
regional security. Instead of using the country’s vast wealth to
improve the lives of its citizens, he cared only for his own benefit and
that of his inner circle, causing approximately 50% of the population
to live in extreme poverty, with severe shortages of food, clean
water, and medicine.
As expected, antisemitism immediately followed. The deputy who
seized power accused Israel of orchestrating the operation that led
to Maduro’s arrest, describing it as a “Zionist attack” against
Venezuela—despite the fact that Israel had absolutely no
involvement in the operation.
President Trump, whose appearance and conduct resemble Eisav,
the brother of Yaakov—as the Torah states, “And the first came out
red, entirely like a hairy cloak, and they called his name Eisav”
(Bereishis 25:25)—is known for extracting the maximum from this
world, in the spirit of “Hal’iteini na, ” a person who is never satisfied
and always seeks more. Yet it appears that in the End of Days he is
destined to rectify the ancient hatred toward Yaakov. For the hearts
of kings and rulers are in the hand of Hashem, Who caused Trump
to act together with Israel during the 12-day operation filled with
open miracles: approximately 200 deadly ballistic missiles were
destroyed, around 30 senior enemy commanders were eliminated,
and all forces returned safely to base without a single casualty or
loss of property.
Hashem placed it into Trump’s
heart to assist in striking Iran’s nuclear facilities. He dispatched the
deadly B-2 bombers—possessed only by the United States—in an
operation called “Midnight Hammer. ” Fourteen bombs, each
weighing approximately 13.6 tons, were dropped on Iran’s nuclear
facilities, which the Iranians had spent 25 years building deep
underground in extreme secrecy.
Just as Hashem strikes Iran from the outside, He is also striking it
from within. Iran is currently experiencing one of the most severe
droughts in its history, leading to internal collapse. The acute water
shortage has caused widespread power outages and raised fears of
evacuating the capital city, Tehran, where water reservoirs have
fallen to critical levels of approximately
10% or less. The water crisis has crippled
electricity production, as many
hydroelectric dams have ceased
functioning due to low water levels. The
drought has forced the abandonment of
thousands of villages and massive
migration to cities, creating vast slums and
growing social unrest.
“Water, electricity, life—these are our
basic rights! cry the Iranian masses
flooding the streets, expressing fury over
the regime’s mismanagement of natural
resources and neglect of infrastructure,
while funneling billions into military
projects aimed at destroying Israel. Protest slogans include: “Not
Gaza and not Lebanon—our lives come first. ”
We see clearly how the prophecies of the End of Days are being
fulfilled before our eyes, as it is written:
“And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious
rebukes, and they shall know that I am Hashem when I place My
vengeance upon them” (Yechezkel 25:17).
How Is Everything Happening in the World Connected to the
Great Divine Truth—and Specifically to Our Holy Land and the
Nation Dwelling in Zion?
Everything that happens in the world and in our Holy Land is
connected within a vast Divine plan from Heaven, bringing us ever
closer to the clarification of Divine truth and the revelation of
Mashiach Tzidkeinu.
There are two individuals, both well over the age of eighty, who are
currently in great distress as they watch the collapse of their life’s
work. One is the Supreme Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution,
Ayatollah Khamenei. The other, perhaps surprisingly, is the former
President of Israel’s Supreme Court and the architect of the judicial
revolution, Judge Aharon Barak, who once
stated in an interview that he completely denies the existence of any
Higher Power governing the world.
At first glance, these two figures appear to be opposites. One
represents fanatical Shiite Islam, which promotes the suppression
of personal freedom. The other presents himself as a champion of
liberalism, secularism, and democracy. Yet his defense of “human
rights” seems selective—reserved for Nukhba terrorists, for
protecting the Attorney General and military prosecutors, and for
those who defame IDF soldiers, as seen in the “Sde Teiman” affair.
They are joined by the neo-Nazi mayor of New York, Mamdani, who
seeks to imprison Prime Minister Netanyahu in New York on
accusations of war crimes, while at the same time attacking Trump
for capturing the criminal Venezuelan president, calling it an “act of
war” and a “blatant violation of international law. ” He even called
Trump to protest regime change by force. This aligns him with the
radical left in the United States, along with Israel’s own antisemitic
Knesset member Ofer Cassif, who openly represents Israel’s
enemies.
What unites all of them is this: the global left aligns itself with radical
Islam, and in the name of freedom and human rights grants
legitimacy to barbarism, oppression, the imposition of murderous
Sharia law, and above all, the attempt to destroy the State of Israel.
These are two sides of the same coin—denial of the existence of the
Creator and denial of the Written Torah, “charus al haluchos, ” given
by Moshe Rabbeinu at Sinai, which is the true foundation of all
freedom.
The Torah of Hashem establishes a rectified society in which man is
truly free. The left cannot tolerate this, because in its arrogance it
cannot bear any yoke—certainly not the yoke of Malchus
Shamayim. Islam cannot tolerate this either, because in its
worldview brute force is the sole principle that governs existence,
directly opposed to human freedom. Their cry of “Allahu Akbar”
declares a god of power and domination, where kindness and mercy
are viewed as weakness.
Global progressivism undermines the institution of marriage, while
Islam establishes it upon violence and oppression. Neither can
accept the message of Judaism: true acceptance of the yoke of
Heaven, which preserves the “manufacturer’s instructions” of the
Creator for the wondrous synthesis of body and soul, distinguishing
between desire and love and placing every trait in its proper place.
The Torah state of Malchus Beis David, which will arise with
Hashem’s help despite the rage of both Barak and Khamenei,
heralds the end of both Islam and progressivism. The entire world
will see that true freedom emerges specifically from accepting the
yoke of Heaven, as Chazal teach: “There is no truly free person
except one who is engaged in Torah. ”
The Episode of Moshe Rabbeinu and the Covenant of Circumcision
One of the most puzzling verses in the Torah states:
“And it was on the way, at the lodging place, that Hashem
encountered him and sought to kill him” (Shemos 4:24).
Is it conceivable that after the lengthy persuasion at the Burning
Bush, appointing Moshe as the redeemer of Israel, Hashem
would suddenly seek to kill him?
This is one of the most difficult and concealed passages in the
Torah. A precise reading reveals that it was not Hashem who sought
to kill Moshe, but another force—and Hashem encountered him
there in order to save him. Moshe had delayed circumcising his
newborn son Eliezer due to travel preparations. Circumcision is the
covenant between the Jewish people and the Creator, and it may
not be delayed. The way of the Satan is to confuse a person, cause
him to miss a mitzvah, and then prosecute against him in Heaven.
The Torah omits the letter lamed in the verse. Had it been Hashem’s
will to kill Moshe, the verse would have stated “levaksho lehamiso.
” Therefore, the verse must be divided: “vayevakesh hamiso”—this
refers to the Satan; “vayifgeshehu Hashem”—this refers to Hashem
coming to save him.
The Satan appeared in the form of a great serpent and swallowed
most of Moshe’s body. Tziporah immediately understood what was
happening and circumcised their son. The blood of circumcision
provides atonement and protection from destructive forces, as it
states: “And He will see the blood... and Hashem will pass over the
entrance, and He will not allow the destroyer to enter” (Shemos
12:23).
Due to the trauma, Tziporah returned with the children to her
father’s home. Only later, after the Exodus, did Yisro bring her and
the children back to Moshe in the wilderness.
The Tragedy in Jerusalem and Our Collective Responsibility
In the last two demonstrations in Jerusalem, two yeshivah
bochurim were killed. We all cry out in pain: “What has Hashem
done to us?
Most recently, Yosef Aisenthal, a pure and innocent yeshivah
bochur from a distinguished rabbinic family, was killed by a reckless
Arab driver. These tragedies force us to engage in deep self-
examination. Since these bochurim were under the age of twenty,
they cannot be held individually accountable. Therefore, this must
be understood as a communal atonement, obligating us to examine
our deeds and intentions.
We are not living in a time of “Give us Yavneh and its sages. ” Torah
learning in Eretz Yisrael has never flourished as it does today. Our
responsibility is to take responsibility for the entire Jewish people,
especially those who are considered tinokos shenishbu, immersed
in false media and confusion, and bring them Torah with warmth
and truth—just as Moshe Rabbeinu went out to see the suffering of
his brothers.
What Must We Do in Order to Be Saved?
Each of us must do whatever we can to bring another Jew closer to
Torah and mitzvos. It is highly worthwhile to carry tefillin and seek
opportunities to help Jews put them on, explaining that this brings
merit and protection to their families. Women should likewise bring
merit to other women through the mitzvah of hafrashas challah, for
it was in the merit of righteous women that Israel was redeemed.
We pray that Hashem will have mercy upon us, and just as all the
prophecies of destruction were fulfilled, so too will all the
prophecies of the End of Days and the Final Redemption be fulfilled.
May Hashem soon send us Eliyahu HaNavi, the herald of
redemption, as it is written:
“Behold, I send you Eliyahu the Prophet before the coming of the
great and awesome day of Hashem... and he will turn the hearts of
fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers”—
to announce the coming of Melech HaMashiach.
