"Around midnight כחצות, I will go out into Egypt."

What is the meaning of this matter of the time of midnight. On the fourth day of creation, the divisions of times, days, years, months, etc., are marked. And even in the days preceding that day, we find an account of times in terms of day and evening. But in all six days of creation, the word "midnight" is not marked or mentioned at all, and this term was innovated at the time of the redemption of Egypt. What is its meaning, and why was it innovated specifically then?
