Tzafnat Paneach parsha sheet
How is the momentum of the process of Ge'ulah—
despite all the delays—continuing on an alternate track,
specifically through the very one who stopped it?
The sworn enemy of the Jewish people is Iran—the power
that stands at the head of the Axis of Evil and openly calls
for our destruction. During the Twelve-Day War, which
was accompanied by obvious and powerful miracles from
the Hand of the Ribbono Shel Olam, we were given a rare
opportunity to bring about the collapse of the Axis of Evil
and to nearly paralyze Iran and
its emissaries—Hezbollah and
the Houthis. However, the red-
haired uncle from America
decided that the war must be
stopped in the midst of victory,
an act that runs counter to the
Will of Hashem.
It would have been far more
fitting to adopt the approach
of Dovid Hamelech, who said
that he pursued his enemies
and did not return until they
were destroyed. Had this path
been followed, the leaders of Iran would no longer be
among the living.
But at this time, we have not yet merited leaders on the
level of Dovid Hamelech. This is due, in part, to various
interests that Trump maintains with Arab states such as
Qatar and Saudi Arabia, with whom he has extensive
business ties. In Gaza as well, he prevented the complete
destruction of Hamas. All of this creates delays in the
process of Ge'ulah.
So what does the Master of the World do so that the
process of Ge'ulah does not come to a standstill? He
brings Iran to economic collapse. The Iranian currency has
reached an unprecedented historic low. Food prices—
bread, rice, and meat—have risen by more than seventy
percent. One must fill an entire cart with banknotes just
to buy a single loaf of bread. In addition, approximately 55
million Iranians, out of a population of about 88 million,
now live below the poverty line.
Millions have taken to the streets, burning government
buildings and images of the Ayatollah. The regime
responds by murdering protesters mercilessly and
preparing mass executions to instill fear. Yet the crowds
continue, encouraged by promises that “help is on the
way.”
It appears that the end of the head of the Axis of Evil is
drawing very near, and the Islamic regime of wickedness
that has slaughtered multitudes is closer than ever to its
collapse.
Another possible development must be taken into
account. China has been
preparing for years to seize
Taiwan and may take advantage
of America’s distraction with Iran
to do so. Ultimately, however, we
rely on only One—Avinu
Shebashamayim, the One and
Only, Who alone can save us.
Why do Moshe and Aharon
seemingly “compete” with the
chartumim (sorcerers) to
determine who is stronger and
who can act with greater force
against the laws of nature?
The confrontation between Moshe and Aharon and the
chartumim was designed to wear them down—and to
wear down Egypt itself. This struggle continued
throughout the plagues until the sixth plague, Shechin,
when the chartumim could no longer stand before Moshe
because they themselves were afflicted.
What were Moshe and Aharon seeking to achieve
through this confrontation?
To understand this, we must examine the source of the
chartumim’s power and why it was necessary to confront
them directly.
In the world there exists the power of holiness and the
power of impurity. The power of holiness is a system of
orderly Divine governance, where everything has its
proper place and boundary. This was the form of conduct
through which the world was guided from Creation—
structure, restraint, and balance.
In contrast, the forces of impurity represent chaos and
disorder. They are the source of sickness, war, rage,
anxiety, and depression. Impurity brings instability to both
body and soul. When a person becomes overtaken by
anger and emotional turmoil, he enters a world of
confusion and distortion, as taught by Chazal.
This is the world of falsehood, a reality that transformed
goodness into darkness, deception, and sorcery. It is ruled
by a kingdom of wickedness, headed by the embodiment
of destructive forces. Anyone driven by these powers
seeks control at any cost.
Ancient Egypt embodied this outlook. It recoiled from no
means to achieve its corrupt goals and denied the
existence of a Creator Who governs the world. Hashem
granted mankind free choice, and the wicked choose
denial and rebellion. Such evil cannot be confronted by
human strength alone. Only one who is completely bound
to an infinite, higher power can impose order upon such
chaos.
Moshe, the faithful emissary of the Ribbono Shel Olam
sent to redeem the Jewish people, acted together with his
brother Aharon according to precise Divine instruction.
Step by step, plague by plague, they dismantled the power
of impurity embodied by the chartumim. In holiness lies
the healing and rectification of the world, in separation
between purity and impurity.
Is there an escalation in the struggle between the world
of holiness and the world of impurity, because the
internal war of the erev rav within us is intensifying?
Many were shocked by revelations regarding the
infiltration of protest activists into the religious public.
Credible reports indicate that deliberate and systematic
efforts were made to create chaos and division within
religious society, including targeted campaigns inside
synagogues and through public posters.
Without shame, one of the leaders openly stated that
dismantling religious society from within was a central
strategy. This did not happen on its own, but through
years of coordinated manipulation, disinformation, and
cooperation behind the scenes, particularly targeting
major religious institutions.
We must internalize how to relate to those who betray
Hashem, the Jewish people, and His Torah. Enormous
resources are invested to create internal strife. Added to
this is a judicial system hostile to the Torah of Israel, which
conceals truth and protects those involved in betrayal.
The public groans under this reality, powerless to
respond, as all enforcement mechanisms are in their
hands.
Can we overcome them—and how?
There is only one solution, taught by the
prophet Yechezkel: unity. When the divided segments of
Israel are joined into one, the power of the erev
rav collapses. Unity is our only shield. What is the message
of the seven plagues, out of the ten, that Hashem
brought upon Egypt as described in this parashah?
When Hashem strikes, it is with exact precision. The
plagues are an indictment against Egyptian society.
Dam: How could they bathe in the river without seeing
that it was filled with the blood of murdered infants?
Tzfardea: The croaking of the frogs represented the
broken screams of slaughtered children.
Kinim: Their walls and homes were built through forced
labor and sucked blood of the Jews whom they
exploited.
Dever: Even animals are cared for to preserve their
usefulness, yet Jewish servants were treated as less than
beasts. Therefore, the livestock was struck.
Shechin: This revealed the total collapse of values and
stands as the ultimate failure of the intellectual elite—the
thinkers, scientists, and philosophers who should have
upheld moral responsibility. When those entrusted with
spiritual leadership lack Yiras shamayim, society rots from
within. Not one voice arose in protest when forced labor
camps were established and children were abused.
Barad: Thunder, fire, and stones descended from Heaven,
signaling approaching Divine revelation. Par'oh begged
that the voices stop—not because of the damage, but
because he did not want to hear Heavenly command or
moral law. The ten plagues correspond to the ten
commandments that Egypt refused to hear.
Beloved People of Israel,
We are racing toward the final stage of this world.
We are entering the era of the End of Days. In this era,
those who betray faith and morality will be publicly
exposed. The rules of free choice are changing. There is no
longer unchecked freedom to deny Hashem.
Those who refuse to align themselves with Divine truth,
whose hearts remain stubborn, will be repaid swiftly—
while still alive—so that all may see and fear. This is
because the world is hastening toward its final
rectification.
The world of sorcery and falsehood is coming to an end.
Humanity will return to its original state of purity, as
before corruption entered the world. May we merit the
coming of our righteous Moshiach Bimheira Beyameinu.
