The question is if a person has the right to say that what the doctors are saying is bogus and I don't need to quarantine when other people believe in what the doctors are saying and they are affected by this person's behavior.
And even if other people wouldn't believe in what the doctors say does one have the right to decide on his own that the doctors are wrong when acting on such a decision might have negative ramifications on others. Because the reality is that nobody [even those who vehemently oppose quarantines] knows for sure that quarantines aren't helpful in stopping the spread of the virus.
[Of course another question arises when people are prevented from going to work and thus lose their livelihood. A more basic issue is what one should do if the doctors can't agree themselves].
The fact is that most people don't think or analyze to much and just act based on how they feel. This is a general rule for life.
