The Values Of Our Society

8 years ago there was a "Gay Pride" parade in which a 16 year old girl was stabbed to death. It goes without saying that murder is murder and there is no heter on our days to do such a thing.

After the murder, P.M. Benji N. [who spoke tonight in a Beis Medrash of a choshuv Yeshiva in honor of Yom Yerushalayim] said the the girl “was murdered because she courageously supported the principle according to which everyone is entitled to live their lives in their way [בדרכם] in dignity and safety. We will not allow the abhorrent murderer to undermine the fundamental values upon which Israeli society is based, the values of equal rights and individual rights."

So the narrative of the Prime Minister of Israel is that everyone is entitled to live their lives as they see fit. Man having sexual relations with man, woman with woman, father with daughter, mother with son, human with cat. Whatever works for you. That is the fundamental value on which our society is based.

That, of course, is Kfira in the whole Torah. We did not wait 2,000 years for such a society. We want a society based on a different set of values - קדושה, טהרה, יראת שמים ואהבת השם.
