To be a Torah Jew means that your views are shaped by the Torah and those who embody it's values.
I fear that many many in the Torah community have their viewpoints shaped more by the Ben Shapiros, Tucker Carlsons, Dennis Pragers, Jordan Petersons etc. etc. than by Talmidei Chachomim. One video of these guys goes up and in hours they can have tens of thousands of views [obviously not only by frum Jews] while to make an understatement, Torah shiurim are not nearly as popular. Ben Shapiro was interviewed by Rabbi Efrem Goldberg two days ago and it has already been viewed by close to 200k people. When Rabbi Goldberg himself speaks... Torah, he doesn't get nearly anything like that. Nor does anyone else.
Sad.
Sweetest friends - Torah is Dvar Hashem. It purifies the Neshama and reveals ultimate truth. All of these other guys are saying mixtures of truth and untruth b/c they are not coming from Torah. So sometimes they get it right - other times not.
Rav Asher Arieli speaks the greatest Emes ever. He teaches Gemara and that is the most current of events. He is quite popular in the Mir but not outside. And that is something we can all fix by returning to the source of Jewish life.
