Maybe the biggest "נס" of this entire ordeal is how many Israelis still believe that we can make peace with the "Palestinians" and live harmoniously side by side [or even together]. I mean, the Arabs themselvess say that they are planning many more massacres to come. Like - believe them!!! They are not just saying that b/c they want to appear as evil. They ARE actually evil!!!
Mussar Haskel: It is HARD for people to let go of long held beliefs, regardless of all of the evidence to the contrary. This applies very much to our emotional world as well. We want to believe certain things in our personal story [remember: we are ALL telling ourselves stories ALL THE TIME] despite the fact that these beliefs and stories are not only false but harmful.
