Many of the views of people on the right are aligned with Torah values. "Conservative" means to conserve. "Progressive" means to jettison the past for new ideas and lifestyles. So naturally, we are going to be aligned with the right which is conservative because we too want to conserve timeless principals and ideals. [Note: To be clear. The left is an absolute disaster and not even on the Torah radar. Proof Positive: Almost every Refom and Conservative cleric and congregant is left wing. That is a great way of proving that the Torah view is the opposite].
However, the people who promote these views - literally EVERY LAST ONE of the popular ones - are light years away from the Torah ideal.
Let's see:
Exhibit A: Gentile, homosexual, atheist, but strongly pro-Israel. So he has sexual relations with men, believes that the world created itself and has no purpose - but speaks out in favor of Israel. He is considered a hero and is asked to speak at countless Jewish events.
Exhibit B: Jewish, lesbian, living with her "wife" and their baby and otherwise not observant, violating the holy Torah for which we have died throughout the generations, hour by hour [although I would assume that she goes to some type of Jewish place on the High Holidays]. She has a foul mouth [like they all do]. She signs a contract with a major news outlet for 150 million in green. Considered Gdola Ha-dor in news analysis. Strongly pro-Israel and another contemporary Jewish hero. Pathetic.
Exhibit C: Gentile. Strongly right wing. One of the most powerful voices on the planet. Devout Christian who is really mad at the Jews for killing Yoshke. Panders to Nazis, Holocaust deniers, Arab leaders, Putin etc. etc. Has tens of millions of followers.
Exhibit D: Gentile woman. Thankfully married to a man. Promoter of insane conspiracy theories [man didn't really go to the moon and many others] in addition to being a rabid anti-semite. Tens of millions of people thirst in her inane words.
Exhibit E: Clearly identifies as an Orthodox Jew. But sadly, far from being a Ben Torah or Talmid Chochom. Thus he misrepresents the Torah in his words and character [not necessarily on purpose] that he ostensibly speaks for due to the kippah on his head. Employs many devout Christians and sponsors and platforms their promotion of their very non-Jewish, non-Torah, strongly Christian viewpoints. Filthy mouth. But a modern day hero for many because he is so articulately pro-Israel and not embarrassed of his Judaism.
Exhibit F: President of the United States. Yes indeed - the most pro Israel President ever. But. In the summer of ’16, Charles Krauthammer wrote this about Trump’s character: “This is beyond narcissism. I used to think Trump was an 11-year-old, an undeveloped schoolyard bully. I was off by about 10 years. His needs are more primitive, an infantile hunger for approval and praise, a craving that can never be satisfied. He lives in a cocoon of solipsism where the world outside himself has value — indeed exists — only insofar as it sustains and inflates him … (He) is dangerously out of the mainstream and temperamentally unfit to command the nation.” Exactly!!
Trump rapidly confirmed Krauthammer’s character assessment by responding this way: “I get called names by a guy that can’t buy a pair of pants.” That insult made no sense — unless you knew as Trump did that Krauthammer could not walk. He’d been confined to a wheelchair since sustaining a head injury in a swimming pool at the age of 22.
Just in the last few days he defended Exhibit C for hosting a vile Neo-Nazi and decided after meeting with him that Sinwar-Stalin Mamdani is really a good guy after all. Constantly insulting anyone and everyone who gets on his nerves. The quotes are endless. One example: He said that he wanted to “personally congratulate” Ron DeSantis for formally entering the presidential primary, hours after the Florida governor filed paper work with the Federal Election Commission launching his candidacy.
Posting on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump called the governor “Rob DeSanctimonious” and said he hoped his Republican rival would “get the full experience of being attacked by the Marxists, Communists, and the Radical Left Lunatics of our Country.”
"I’d like to personally congratulate “Rob” DeSanctimonious on finally announcing that he will be entering the race for President of the United States. Hopefully he will get the full experience of being attacked by the Marxists, Communists, and Radical Left Lunatics of our Country, without which he will never know the kind of job he is doing. These Lowlifes & Misfits are far worse than the leaders of hostile foreign countries. They must be soundly defeated in order to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
He has the intellectual depth of a six year old and is less emotionally mature. Just pathetic. Totally unpredictable.
But he is the most powerful man alive [כאילו] and people on the right love and defend him.
MUSSAR HASKEL: Let us follow our tradition and those who faithfully represent it, like the Tzadikim in our generation and generations past. Let's clean up our language, the disgusting things people send around etc. and instead fill ourselves with the light of Torah, Kedusha, Ruchniyus and אור השם. We always have to remember that we are here for one reason - to serve Hashem and glorify His Name and that this world is a waiting room for the real world, the one that we will enter after we die.
