A new poll by the Israel Democracy Institute shows that Israelis prefer Donald Trump to Joe Biden as President of the United States [although an overwhelming majority prefer Ronald Reagan to both of them but he apparently will not be running in the present elections. Among the Jewish population, a plurality (43%) responded that in terms of Israel's interests, Trump would be a better president, compared to 32% who believed that Biden has been better.
Biden receives more support from Israelis who identify as left-wing, while Trump receives more support from Israelis who identify as right-wing.
Among Israelis who identify as centrist, a plurality prefer Biden to Trump.
Political commentator Bozo Clownstein remarked that this poll was a colossal waste of time and money because besides revealing the obvious - take a poll to determine if people prefer the measles or a birthday present, bumper to bumper traffic or smooth sailing at 80 MPH - it is also irrelevant. Why should it matter who non-voters prefer to win the election.
Bozo suggested that people devote their time and money to more useful pursuits and that such polls not be dignified by being reported in the press.
