Pro Football is a business. Hyper oversized gladiators jump on top of each other and violently throw each other on the ground to the glee of millions. 22 men at a time hungrily pursue a funny shaped piece of brown painted chazer-skin with hot air inside like caged bears [if they are from Chicago - or Lions if they are from Detroit] attempting to get a long awaited for meal. People enjoy this spectacle and it nets billions of dollars. [Until my conversion to Judaism, I used to be one of those people...].
My question is - why alienate a large percentage of your fan base? It is bad for business. There are many Americans who somehow don't see the incredible value and almost sanctity in being a man who lusts after other men and then has sex with them. It just doesn't seem appealing to them and they actually find it repugnant and [if they have traditional values] morally reprehensible.
So the Commissioner of the NFL or whomever is responsible for this "the NFL is gay/lesbian/transgender" advertising campaign is doing something very, very stupid.
But they didn't ask me..........
