I often write בגנות המחלוקת - How terrible it is to be involved in מחלוקת with other people. This week is Parshas Korach and all the sfarim are filled w/ chizzuk to stay away from מחלוקת. I "pride" myself [one doesn't HAVE to be "gay" to have pride] on staying away from quarrels. When I see one, I go in the other direction. I am highly critical of those who are involved in מחלוקת for whatever reason.
I was thinking [FOR A CHANGE!!!]. It is easy for me to talk. I am, essentially, a nobody. Like. who would want to fight with me?? Am I a big Rav? Not even a small one. Am I a big Gvir? The Israeli politician Itamar Ben Gvir seems to have a father who is a Gvir [LUCKY HIM!!!!] but I am not considered a big Gvir [except by a guy who approached me the other day for a large donation and explained that he was looking for people like me with heavy money!!!]. Am I involved in communal matters? Not in the slightest. Politics? Totally not. So there is no OPPORTUNITY for me to be involved in Machlokes. I don't even have the nisayon of מחלוקת!! So maybe I shouldn't be so critical of those who do??!!

That being said - STAY AWAY FROM מחלוקת like FIRRRREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! It is POISSSOOONNNNNN!!!!
I know a guy who was involved in a serious מחלוקת and the earth opened up and swallowed him alive!!!!!
