וְהָיָה הַדָּם לָכֶם לְאֹת עַל הַבָּתִּים
In the Torah world in Eretz Yisrael it is extremely difficult to marry off a child without buying an apartment [or at least give a substantial sum towards the purchase]. Many people have had to "spill their own blood" in order to accomplish this. Especially the way prices are now - through the roof. Like anything decent starting at about a half a million dollars. And people have 5-15 children to marry off.
It is to me one of the biggest scandals of our day.
Fathers sometimes literally get heart attacks and die from the stress. Others just suffer for years.
I wish someone would do something.
Blood is indeed a sign of the homes.
