SARASOTA, Florida — A synagogue in Florida filed a lawsuit to challenge the state over a new law prohibiting abortion after 15 weeks. Under current law, Florida allows abortions up to 24 weeks.
Congregation L’Dor Va-Dor of Boynton Beach claims the new law, which has been signed by Republican Governor Ron De Santis, violates the religious freedom rights of Jews.
The lawsuit, which was filed Friday in Leon County Circuit Court, claims that the act “prohibits Jewish women from practicing their faith free of government intrusion and this violates their privacy rights and religious freedom.”
The lawsuit also argues that religious minorities in Florida will be harmed and that the law will threaten Jews “by imposing the laws of other religions upon Jews.”
Congregation L’Dor Va-Dor, which doesn’t belong to any denomination, defines itself as “an all-inclusive, universal, and rational approach to Judaism” and “honors tradition, respects science, celebrates spirituality and is helplessly confused.”

So here it is:
The Goyim make it illegal to kill an [unborn] baby [with a beating heart, hands, feet, a head etc. etc.] for no reason - just because the mother feels like it. Maybe it will disrupt her career. Maybe it will be expensive [diapers are costly!!]. Or any other reason, pseudo-reason or non-reason.
The new law is a celebration of LIFE. We value life!! EVERY human life is a reflection of Hashem Himself!!
Judaism is much more more about obligations than about rights. Western society is about rights-rights-rights. So the Torah says that one obligation we have [and this includes Gentiles for whom abortion carries the death penalty!!! - as we have discussed at length in our Hilchos Melachim shiurim] is to preserve the life of an unborn baby [who by the way can feel pain and most certainly doesn't enjoy being crushed to death]. That is barring extreme circumstances [such as danger to the mother's life or when the baby has a terrible disease].
Now in Halacha, until 40 days there is more room for leniency b/c the fetus is מיא בעלמא - water.
Here is a summary of the new law:
“A physician may not perform a termination of pregnancy if the physician determines the gestational age of the fetus is more than 15 weeks unless one of the following conditions is met:
(a) Two physicians certify in writing that, in reasonable medical judgment, the termination of the pregnancy is necessary to save the pregnant woman’s life or avert a serious risk of substantial and irreversible physical impairment of a major bodily function of the pregnant woman other than a psychological condition.
(b) The physician certifies in writing that, in reasonable medical judgment, there is a medical necessity for legitimate emergency medical procedures for termination of the pregnancy to save the pregnant woman’s life or avert a serious risk of imminent substantial and irreversible physical impairment of a major bodily function of the pregnant woman other than a psychological condition, and another physician is not available for consultation.
(c) The fetus has not achieved viability … and two physicians certify in writing that, in reasonable medical judgement, the fetus has a fatal fetal abnormality.”
“‘Fatal fetal abnormality’ means a terminal condition that, in reasonable medical judgment, regardless of the provision of life-saving medical treatment, is incompatible with life outside the womb and will result in death upon birth or imminently thereafter.”
Pretty close to the Jewish perspective [although not identical] and definitely will save thousands and thousands of innocent babies.
So here remarkably the Westerners [under the influence of Judaism b/c almost all that is good in Western society is rooted in Judaism - called mistakenly the Judeo-Christian ethic] in Florida [the second Jewish state] rescinded an anti-life anti-Torah law to something much closer to our tradition.
Comes along a church congregation called "לדור ודור"- From generation to generation" [!!!] and sues the State of Florida for violating Jewish religious rights. They insist that no! Every women who feels like it must be allowed to kill her unborn baby! That is her RIGHT. Her Jewish religious right!!!
Only in America.

Note: According to the website that counts abortions, there have already been over three million unborn babies killed since January 1st of this year.
Insane.
These babies don't have a voice. We need to be their voice.
