Was Moshe's Report Of The Meraglim Accurate?

When Moshe related the story of the Meraglim, he says:

They took of the fruit of the land in their hands and brought it down to us, and they brought word back to us and said, "It is a good land which Hashem our God gives to us."

REALLY? Is that what they said?? I remember something a *little* bit different. Like - IMPOSSIBLE, there is no way we are going to be able to capture this land that anyway is an ארץ אוכלת יושביה - a land that consumes it inhabitants.

So Rashi was bothered by this question and explains that Moshe was talking about the positive report of Yehoshua and Calev.

Ok. But then the question begs - Why didn't he tell the whole story. Why did he omit that negative report of the other 10?

In that context we would understand the next pasuk:

Yet you wouldn't go up, but rebelled against the commandment of Hashem your God.
