Serenity

The meaning of life lies in its depth, not its speed.

In this fast-paced era,

speed has become the measure of all things.

Everyone seems to be racing, afraid to fall behind.

But true strength is the ability

to slow down with awareness.

“When the mind is calm, one can achieve wisdom;

when it is stormy, confusion grows.

Take time to see, to think, to speak, and to act slowly.

Eat slowly, walk slowly, and savor the richness of life.

When actions are slow, things unfold smoothly;

when hearts are slow, peace returns;

when speech is slow, words gain weight.

Time itself is long; only the busy make it short.

Sometimes, slowness is the fastest way forward.

Those who rush shall not attain;

those who reflect in stillness find the Way.

We are wired to want results quickly,

yet if you truly wish to accomplish something,

you must resist that instinct—go against haste, go slow.

Everything natural unfolds slowly:

the sun rises and sets bit by bit;

flowers bloom and fall petal by petal;

rice sprouts and ripens gradually;

children grow inch by inch.

As the farmer waters his seed in due time, it matures naturally;

those who seek results in haste destroy the roots.

The fiercer something comes,

the shorter it stays.

Nature teaches us—what endures is never rushed.

Spring never comes too early,

nor does winter snow arrive too late.

Do what you can today,

and trust the timing of life.

Those troubles that keep you awake tonight—

set them aside; tomorrow may bring a turn.

Tell yourself gently: “It’s okay to go slow.”

Speak slowly to avoid hurting others.

Decide slowly to hear your true voice.

Real growth happens in stillness, not in haste.

Every process needs time and patience.

As the saying goes:

“Flowing water does not compete to be first—

its strength lies in being unceasing.”

Ask yourself:

“Will what I do today add value to my life a year from now?”

If the answer is yes—keep going,

even if slowly.

Only when one knows where to stop, can one be settled;

when settled, one becomes still;

when still, one finds peace;

when peaceful, one can discern;

and through discernment, one can truly attain.

In time, life will reveal this truth:

To live deeply matters more than to move fast.

The power of serenity

is the finest gift time can offer.

The Geulah comes - קמעה קמעה. Little by little.
