Did The Soldiers Go Home Before The War Against The Greeks?

In the Sefer Chashmonaim it says that before they went to war it was announced "מי מאיש אשר ארש אשה" etc. etc. [דברים כ] should go HOME! 

Problem is that this was a מלחמת מצוה and according to the Mishna, the proclamation was only made for a מלחמת רשות???
