Rav Aharon Kotler was visiting Eretz Yisrael and was at a simcha. Suddenly - bombs start falling!! Rav Aharon [and everybody else] ducks under the table and is heard davening to Hashem to give him life because .... he wants to learn so much more Torah.
Rav Kook was very ill and asked the doctor how much time he has. The doctor didn't want to answer and asked why he wants to know. He answered that he wants to review ששה סדרי משנה before he goes and wants to know if he will have enough time to finish....
