Many of the leaders of the Nazi party had advanced degrees. Today, Ivy league schools are hotbeds of support for Chamas [i.e. in favor of the murder of innocent Jews]. Close to 100 percent of professors are leftists.
Many intellectuals claim to be atheists. They wouldn't believe you for a second if you claimed a computer evolved by itself into a computer but they claim to believe that the entire universe just created itself and magically evolved into the incredible mind boggling integrated complexity we see today. They swear that *no intelligence* created intelligence. Doesn't it make so much more sense that an Intelligent Being created all of this intelligence??!! Of COURSE it does! But these brainy people don't accept that.
Brains aren't everything.
Judaism also appreciates intellect but ONLY if accompanied by Yiras Shomayim. "אם אין יראה אין חכמה" [Avos 3-17]. And of course דרך ארץ שקדמה לתורה.
